Strawberry Daiquiri Sorbet Lime (Print Version)

A refreshing frozen blend of strawberries, lime zest, and rum for a vibrant dessert twist.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 1 lb 2 oz fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
02 - Zest of 2 limes
03 - ¼ cup freshly squeezed lime juice

→ Sweetener

04 - ¾ cup granulated sugar
05 - ½ cup water

→ Alcohol

06 - ¼ cup white rum

→ Garnish

07 - Extra lime zest for serving, optional
08 - Fresh mint leaves, optional

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
02 - Add strawberries, lime juice, lime zest, cooled syrup, and rum to a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth.
03 - Pour blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove seeds and pulp if desired.
04 - Transfer mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions until thick and slushy.
05 - Transfer churned sorbet to a freezer-safe container, cover tightly, and freeze for at least 4 hours until completely firm.
06 - Scoop sorbet into bowls or glasses. Garnish with additional lime zest and fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It tastes like a vacation in a bowl without the hangover the next morning.
  • The lime zest adds this unexpected brightness that makes people ask what your secret is.
  • It's naturally dairy-free and gluten-free, so you're not compromising flavor for dietary needs.
02 -
  • If your rum percentage is too high, the sorbet won't freeze properly, so don't try to make it stronger than the recipe calls for.
  • The sweetness of strawberries varies wildly depending on the season and where they're from, so taste as you go and adjust the sugar if you need to.
03 -
  • Chill your serving bowls in the freezer before you scoop, because warm bowls will melt the sorbet instantly and it deserves better than that.
  • The lime zest on top isn't just decoration, it's a flavor booster that hits you first before the cold sweetness follows.
