Lavender Oat Milk Latte (Print Version)

Creamy oat milk, espresso, and homemade lavender syrup create a floral, cozy vegan latte ready in minutes.

# What You'll Need:

→ Lavender Syrup

01 - 1/4 cup water
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

→ Latte

04 - 2 ounces espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
05 - 2 cups oat milk
06 - 2 to 3 tablespoons lavender syrup, to taste
07 - Ice, as desired (for iced latte)

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine water, granulated sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Continue simmering for 2 minutes, then remove from heat. Allow the mixture to steep for 5 minutes.
02 - Strain out the lavender buds using a fine mesh strainer. Let the lavender syrup cool completely before use.
03 - Prepare 2 shots (2 ounces) of espresso using an espresso machine or brew 1/2 cup of strong coffee using a coffee maker.
04 - Heat oat milk in a saucepan over medium heat or froth using a milk frother until hot and foamy. For an iced version, skip heating and use cold oat milk.
05 - Add lavender syrup to a mug or glass. Pour in espresso or strong coffee, then top with steamed or frothed oat milk. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
06 - For an iced latte, add ice to the serving glass before adding espresso and oat milk. Optionally, garnish with a sprinkle of dried lavender buds or a twist of lemon zest.
