Fluffy Yogurt Overnight Oats (Print Version)

Creamy oats with a fresh strawberry swirl, offering a light, healthy morning treat full of natural flavors.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
03 - 1/2 cup milk, dairy or non-dairy
04 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
05 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt

→ Strawberry Swirl

08 - 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, diced
09 - 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
10 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice

→ Toppings

11 - Fresh strawberries, sliced
12 - Chopped nuts or seeds
13 - Extra yogurt

# How to Make It:

01 - In a small saucepan, combine diced strawberries, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until strawberries break down and mixture thickens, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool completely.
02 - In a medium mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, Greek yogurt, milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
03 - Whisk oat mixture vigorously for 1 to 2 minutes or use a hand mixer on low speed to incorporate air and achieve extra fluffiness.
04 - Spoon half of oat mixture into two serving jars or glasses. Add a generous layer of cooled strawberry swirl. Top with remaining oat mixture and swirl additional strawberry sauce across the surface.
05 - Cover jars with lids or plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours.
06 - Remove from refrigerator and top with fresh strawberry slices, chopped nuts, seeds, or additional yogurt as desired. Serve immediately.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • Your breakfast is genuinely ready the moment you wake up, no morning scramble required.
  • The texture is unexpectedly light and airy, nothing like heavy oatmeal sitting in your stomach.
  • That strawberry swirl tastes homemade in the best way, sweet and tangy without any artificial flavor.
02 -
  • If you skip the whisking step, your oats will be dense and heavy instead of that fluffy cloud you're imagining—trust me, I learned this the hard way.
  • Don't add toppings until you're ready to eat, or the nuts will get soggy and the fresh strawberries will release their juice and turn everything pink and watery.
03 -
  • Frozen strawberries actually work better than fresh because they break down into a thicker, more jam-like consistency that doesn't water down your oats.
  • If you forget about your overnight oats and they sit in the fridge for three days, they're still delicious and still perfectly safe, so don't toss them out thinking they've gone bad.
